The Law of AttrACTION, Lotteries and 3 Alarms
Welcome to the Growth Guide, a weekly newsletter where I share actionable ideas to help you Live Better, Achieve More and Be Financially Free.
Live Better
This week on the Growth Guide Podcast we talked to Eric Partaker, author of The 3 Alarms: A Simple System to Transform Your Health, Wealth, and Relationships Forever.
The 3 Alarms Method is a way to segment your life across the 3 important domains: health, wealth and relationships.
The goal is to have you live a life where you experience success over the long term without sacrificing what matters.
Here are some of the practical things you’ll learn in this book:
Add 13 weeks to your life every year
2x your melatonin to promote deeper sleep
Improve your productivity by designing your day
How to complete your work 5x faster with the 80/20 rule

Achieve More
People get the Law of Attraction wrong.
The problem is they’re focused on the law of Attraction.
But, what they should be focusing on is the Law of Attraction.
The law of attraction suggests our conscious and unconscious thoughts influence our lives by attracting events and circumstances. The premise is simple, like attracts like:
Focus on positive thoughts, and you’ll attract positive outcomes
Focus on negative thoughts, and you’ll attract negative outcomes
Here are the key points most people consider for the Law of Action:
Ask: Know what you want and ask the universe for it
Believe: Believe you’ll get what you want
Receive: Be open to receiving it
If you want to be successful, you need to combine these Three Laws:
Attraction
Planning
Action

Be Financially Free
I read a few sad statistics recently.
30% of Americans can't retire until they're 80, and life expectancy is 77
Roughly 40% of Americans think winning the lottery is a good retirement plan
I thought of these two statistics when my Dad texted me today...

Lotteries prey on the poor and lesser educated.
Those most likely to play the lottery regularly are typically:
• Poor
• Largely minorities
• And often drug addicts
Lotteries are a Regressive Tax which place a greater burden on low-income earners.
I wrote a thread on Twitter today on this topic, which is one that really bothers me and is near and dear to my heart.

A Thought
We so often get caught up in the hustle and bustle of life, we forget to stop and tell those closest to us I Love You or I Appreciate You.
I think about my two boys and how hard I push the future with them versus sharing with them how proud of them I am Right Now.
A Question
Who in your life can you take a second to say to:
I Love You
I Appreciate You
I’m Proud of You
Etc.
For the Thought and Question, drop me a note - I want to hear from you.
